Originally, I had planned to retell hitlist the story in my own... not-so-correct style but, for the future, I have opted hitlist for a kinder, gentler TaterTot. I think. We'll see. _________________ Writer, Pat Beach, questions why some guys hitlist won't go see Broke Back Mountain in spite of it's Oscar buzz, and critically acclaimed status. As I stated in a previous post, I don't enjoy chick flicks of the norm. This movie is not only a chick flick, but it deals with subjects out of the norm. It's unknown territory. I think, in general, people tend to fear the unknown. That's why cancer and death ain't so popular with most folks. Call me a homophobe if you must; I’m not as uncomfortable with labels, as I am with things I don't know about. I don't mind sex scenes in movies. In fact, I'm kinda partial to 'em. But the mere thought of two men even huggin' on each other is enough to make me want to choke up my dinner. In fact, I experienced a gag reflex that time when Madonna and Britney Spears caught me off guard by locking lips at the MTV Video Music Awards.
