| I don't know if you're really festival aware of what it's like festival down there where the "little people" have to throw their spread, but I can tell you right now that owning a washing machine, microwave, and dryer isn't a measure of wealth. It's a measure of the disposability of these goods (and the fact that at least two of them are standard in rental properties). Discretionary income completely and utterly to one side, what really separates wealthy from poor (and it's gotten so much worse in the last ten festival years) is access to healthcare, access to stable housing, and any measure whatsoever of security. Quite frankly if you don't already have a lot of money in this society you're goddamn lucky to get into these things.I remember what kinds of amusing games we used to play, my wife and I. |
