| But I have to start somewhere and I reckon that the average income of a family sending their kids to pubic school will generally be higher than that of a family sending their kids to state school. [But then, eek, income is not the only factor in determining class…am 80 year old sex getting out of my depth here!!] Basic structure would probably be to observe the 80 year old sex classroom interaction of mixed sex classes (but what 80 year old sex would I be watching for exactly – don't want to creep into classroom gender relations territory as that has been done to death!) (Also, are there many mixed sex private primary schools around here? Hm better check) and then take a few (at random from the register) into smaller groups and do activities outlined in earlier blogging, then interview them one-on-one and ask more personal questions such as family background. |
