Or at least, there vhs used to be. While it was never perfect, the ideals of the rule of law, limited government, individual freedom were worth emulating. Take it away and you've got the Soviet Union with a better economy, Iraq with less history. Nothing special, just big.We used to have a heritage of civilian control of the police and military. Now that civil government no longer exercises that control, it's a short step to reversing it. Betraying that heritage is treason against not just the country, but humanity. Bush has done more to hurt our country than bin Laden could dream of.
