They might live in a filthy housing project or trailer park, and depend on the graces of the local emergency room for health care, but this is nothing like the "poverty" the rest of the planet experiences. I sympathize with some of your grievances but as one of if not the wealthiest nations in the world do we really want to use some of the most impoverished nations in the world as yardstick to measure our quality of life?
