I don't think this was intended to be a novel, nor funny or entertaining. fat dick I think she was trying to get a message across that is much needed in a society that devalues people based on their appearance, be it size, race, or other physicial trait. I really appreciate her statement, "Make no mistake, I am not an advocate for fatness.. I do not want to be the spokesperson for unhealthy lifestyles and inactivity". |

| She talks about overcoming her suffering though the struggle is tx mostly done with God's help and through prayer. The author talks about "saving herself" for marriage and how important this message is to spread to today's youth. Some of the religious messages get pretty thick even though the book itself is tx slim. I felt duped after receiving the book because there wasn't any indication that the book was going to get into so much of the author's faith in God and the church. The book is also a very slim volume and has large-type print. It's more of a tx children's or teenager's book than adult-age level read although any teenager who's interested in reading it, may want want to be a believer in some sort of God-figure to have enough desire to read through the author's struggle with her weight on the way to a singing career with the church.
