It's like throwing pearls after swine, I tell you! In turn, I liked the book for its honesty (for the most part), and to show people that we only have one life to live. If you're not looking to get a unnumbered million dollar paycheck, or worldwide recognition based on what you wore at whatever award show, then don't sweat it. Look your best, and be the best at what you do for yourself (getting healthy) and others (helping out our fellow man and animal), no matter what. |

Almost every concept that she explained, I ended up agreeing with (you were pretty diy much up against a wall diy at that point), though some had me astounded at how much time and money we're willing to spend to get some people's approval--and it may be all for nothing, as she duly noted time and time again. After all the stints she tried out, ending with the last, very expensive stint losing only two pounds--I don't blame her at all. I would've just learned to live with being fat too--and letting everyone know it, regardless of what they think. She's good and courageous, and God bless her. When she wrote of her experiences, they mirrored my own. |
