What forum you have failed to take into account is that the median income is far, far above the minimum wage. The comment I was replying to said, forum "[m]ore forum jobs though, that are $5/hr jobs at Walmart or McDonalds..." In other words, he was suggesting that many of the newly created jobs were very low-paying. If that were true then the median income would have dropped. That's why I said "typical compensation of jobs gained compares with the typical compensation from jobs lost." Since minimum wage jobs were atypical, and since median income stayed the same, then we can see that there were not significantly more minimum wage jobs now than before.
