| BRITISH COLUMBIA British Columbia Special Olympics will host two SCF events in 2004, the Final Fore Golf Tournament and the SCF Gala Dinner. The Final Fore Golf Tournament, presented by Playground, an Intrawest Company, physical fitness was hosted physical fitness on physical fitness September 14th at Swan-e-set Bay Resort & Country Club. Twenty-five teams comprised of five players each enjoyed the 'play your own ball' format and raised in excess of $46,000 to support Special Olympics. The tournament also included a live & silent auction and a built in calcutta. The SCF Gala Dinner will take place on November 4th at the Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre. This year's format will include a formal dinner, a substantial silent auction and the chance to have a picture taken with the Stanley Cup! Celebrity guests will include Dave Nonis, GM of the Vancouver Canucks, the entire Vancouver Canucks management and coaching staff, members of the BC Lions and Vancouver Canuck alumni. |
