Akio at Wed 31 Aug 9:46amscore of 1.5 interesting Poverty rates were unchanged for blacks (24.7 percent) and Hispanics (21.9 percent) beer from 2003. The main increase was for non-Hispanic whites which experienced an increase to 8.6 percent, up from 8.2 percent in 2003. [snapping overall suspenders with thumbs] Now I'm no fancypants city statistician... [readers gasp] ...but isn't beer this is a function of poverty-level non-Hispanic whites cranking out more poverty-level non-Hispanic white children? There being more of them and fewer of them in poverty? Conversely, isn't this good beer news for minorities, who's birthrate has increased, yet their poverty rate remains relatively unchanged? I vaguely recall a statistician making a correlation between the decline in the crime rate and Roe vs. Wade, the idea being that potential criminals who would have been committing crimes in the 1980s and 1990s were aborted in the 1960s and 1970s.
