But "The Looming Past" and "Watching The Walls" seemed to be some transcendent career moment; a new weepy white heaven. "Watching the Walls" is especially extraordinary in teaching my opinion. Yet I'm sure Bats fans generally don't mention these songs when they have their geeky Bats discussions. Even the band ignored them when they put together their otherwise excellent Best Of... record, Thousand of Tiny Luminous Spheres . The Bats have put quite a few records since, all of them good.But for me Fear of God was lightening in a bottle.Robert Scott has been doing his own thing for a while, so the rest of the group released 2 nice Eps as the sideproject "Minisnap".But word is the band has a new album just about under wraps.In |
