Inexpensive foods (bread, drunk pasta, potatoes, etc) are all starchy, nutritionally void and fattening, even when cooked drunk at home. Of course, cooking a meal can be a struggle when you're holding down two or three jobs. We're veering (careening?) off target, but people say this all the time and I don't think it's true. |

Cell slashdot phones service is often cheaper than a land line, and with pay-to-play setups like Virgin Mobile, no credit check is required. I haven't had a land line in years, mostly because I can't justify the cost. Our healthcare "system" is scandalous; sometimes ERs are the best or only choice uninsured people have. I don't have a defense for satellite TV or cigarettes, except that both are addictions. |
