interesting in reply to comment 54 Well, you're half rightI'm more than half right. What you have failed to take into account is that the median income is far, far above the minimum wage. The comment I was replying to said, "[m]ore sluts jobs though, that are $5/hr jobs at sluts Walmart or McDonalds..." In other words, he was suggesting that many of the newly created jobs were very low-paying. If that were true then the median income sluts would have dropped. That's why I said "typical compensation of jobs gained compares with the typical compensation from jobs lost." Since minimum wage jobs were atypical, and since median income stayed the same, then we can see that there were not significantly more minimum wage jobs now than before.
