"Strawberry Letter 23" was their biggest hit, a slow-jammy cover of the Shuggie Otis song. Shuggie's girl wrote him love letters on strawberry perfumed paper. Heres an entertaining review of the recent greatest hits release Strawberry Letter 23: The Best of over at pop matters. I tossed up fuckinggirls the Sylver's song cause its them at their funkiest. It sounds to me like Salt N Pepa pinched those guitar bits toward their fuckinggirls end for "Whatta man" or whatever that song was called.
