Like that (Roger Vadim) remake And God Created Woman with Rebecca De Mornay and indie bands to a lesser extent the Justine Bateman vehicle Satisfaction ("One Band. One Dream. One Summer.") that had a young Liam Neeson in a break out role as a club owner "Martin Falcon". | you lived in Europe as a kid you may prefer to hang yourself than listen to any more Captain Sensible, but he never made much of a splash slashdot here, prob because we already had "Pac Man Fever" and Weird Al and other such musical japes to strangle ourselves to. Acutally thats not that fair, Captain Sensible aka Raymond Burns is a real musician. He once helped found a real group, The Damned, one of the big brit Punk Bands, contemporaries of The Sex Pistols slashdot and Clash.Heres a good bio slashdot for The DamnedAnd all the zany compilations Captain Sensible has appeared on.And the official The Damned site. Check out the wacky "Ask Captain" stuff.Frida is ABBA Frida. "I Know There's Something Going On" was the big single that pretty much bookmarked her solo career. Its just so magnificently and vaingloriously and atrociously 80s. It makes me think of Phil Collins and Heart and Pat Benatar and Bon Jovi and that Ace Frehley record Frehley's Comet all at once. But mostly Phil Collins because thats Phil himself on the drums (or electronic drum pads). |
