If, on the other hand, a carb addict is truly, deeply ready to come out of addiction, it would be a good idea to seek out, instead of this book, one of the many excellent books addressing addictive eating. The premise of the books is that our bodies don't know the difference between "fight or flight" (the kind of stress built into our bodies when God created us in order to hang onto needed calories during a crisis situation)and normal everyday stress which we all have.
