Having myself been assaulted by a soldier on River Street a few years ago (for the opposite sin of being female and straight and not wanting to have sex with him), I’m saddened but not at all surprised to hear what happened. Hatred of gays, women, racial minorities - it all goes php hand-in-hand. I’m really glad that Fort Stewart sends these guys to Savannah on the weekends to get liquored up and exorcise their aggression. 31 flyinfur Mar php 8th, 2006 at 10:47 am There are many, MANY people with PTSD who do not commit crimes. You might use PTSD as a defense if the gay guy or the Nigerian woman had attacked the guy with PTSD. Someone with PTSD who is attacked may have a hair trigger and will attack first and think later. However, that does not appear to be the case. These criminals chose vulnerable people and attacked and abused them. THAT is not a part of PTSD. Allowing these men to get away with this crap is a disservice to people who are living with PTSD. 32 Mark Mar 8th, 2006 at 10:48 am Both of these stories make me ashamed.
