Cardio exercises like jogging, walking, etc. will help you burn fat! If you’re not used to exercising, I think swimming and walking are good exercises to start with. For me, the most effective is jogging (it gets everything bouncing), however it’s really straining on the body, so instead, you can try the elliptical machine (soo good for burning the calories and getting you to sweat with less effort).
